Lock/Unlock

None of my files has a known lock. When I try to update content of a folder, there are two error messages: (1) parent folder is locked; (2) current folder is already locked.
When I tried to unlock the parent folder, the message is that no contained file contains a lock.
Please point me to a solution for this.
