When I open an old revision in the Show Log, TortoiseSVN crashes

Hi to everybody.
My version of the software is: *TortoiseSVN 1.7.8, Build 23174*
I want to open one old revision of a file of one project. To do this I
follow this steps:

 1. right click on the file->TortoiseSVN->Show Log;
 2. right click on the revision that I seek and Open (my default editor
    for my files is Notepad++);
 3. Notepad++ opens the file but Log Messages of TortoiseSVN crash -->
    the window becomes white.

The strange thing is that if I open the file with the "Open with..."
choice and I select Notepad++ from my programs list, the problem doesn't
exist.
My OS is Windows XP with SP 3.
I attach one file with the steps I follow but the quality is poor.
