Yes, seriously. Most of the sources this is about are
1 MB or lkess as they're for µController software.
Downloading 20-30 files with 1 MB in total shouldn't take long on local area networks, or do you still use snail mail internally for data transport? ;-)
At least here 100 MBit is standard.
