FYI - Slow refresh of decorations in shell extensions with subfolders

I have been doing a lot of work this week gathering up my source code
from a number of different windows and linux machines. So a lot of
unzip a newer archive with changes, commit, tag :repeat: work.

While doing that work I have noticed that very often if my subversion
environment has subdirectories, when I make changes the shell extension
decorations don't update very quickly. In some cases many minutes may
go by - and then, as if by magic, they usually do eventually update.
Sometimes hitting F5 (refresh) will update them - but by no means always.

It is unnevering: something you know you added has no decoration at all
-- and yet if you right click it, it clearly knows it has already been
added (add... is not available). Or something you know changed still
shows no decoration, instead of either a green check mark or a red
exclamation point.

It should not be relevant, but for most of my archives I have been using
svn:// (svnserve hosted on the same machine) rather than direct file URLs.

Just wanted you to know.
