TortoiseSVN and Visual Studio project files

Can I add a Visual Studio project file (".vcproj") to our SVN tree, so that all our devs can keep their actual project settings in sync? If I right-click on a .vcproj file, I don't see the familiar "Add" option in my TortoiseSVN menu (like I would if I right-clicked on a .cpp file, say).
I've looked in my TortoiseSVN settings dialog but AFAICT ".vcproj" isn't listed among the file types that get ignored. So is there a way to add them to the source tree or are there good reasons why they shouldn't be included?
".vcproj" files are UTF-8 test files AFAIK.
John
