We use Tortoise 1.7.6 in conjunction with a VisualSVN repository on a server. The scenario is this:
Repository name: EshopProjects
We are using repository based authentication.
User "Beaty" has global read only privileges to all repositories on the server. However, user Beaty has also been granted read/write privileges to the repository "EshopProjects". Privileges for all folders and files in "EshopProjects" are inherited.
On my computer, if I supply the "Beaty" credentials to TortoiseSVN, I can both checkout and commit items in the aforementioned repository. However, on the three other client computers I have tried, commits fail (using the same credentials) with the messages:
Error Commit failed (details follow):
Checkout is not a problem on these computers, only the commits fail. I have established that I can eliminate the error by granting user "Beaty" global read/write privileges to ALL repositories on the server, but this should not be necessary.
Any idea what is happening here?
