Pre-loading the log cache

Il there any way to preload the log cache in the background ?

I'm thinking of a command line equivalent of the TSVN "Show log" command that loads the log cache without showing any user interface.
I could schedule this command to run during idle time (e.g. during the lunch break) so that when I need the log entries they are already in the cache.
