Repeated password

When I attempt to repo-browser or checkout from a remote Linux server, TortoisePlink asks me repeatedly for the user account's password. If I enter it in every window, it works, but is there a way that I only have to enter it once/not at all? Client: XP Tablet, TortoiseSVN 1.7.5. Server: Ubuntu Server 11.10, subversion 1.6.12
