Revision Graph Fails

I've posted about this issue before, but stopped short of requesting that it
be made an official issue because I didn't have sufficient data on how to
reproduce it. At this time, I'd like to request that somebody in the
maintenance team file it as an official issue.

I am currently running 1.7.3, Build 22386 - 32 Bit , 2011/12/16 15:01:39,
but I see no indication in the change-log that 1.7.4 addresses this issue.
If it does, please indicate so in this forum.

I am running on Windows XP 5.1 build 2600. Our SVN server is still on
version 1.6.

To reproduce the issue:

1) From a fresh boot and using Explorer, choose a component of the
working copy, right-click, select tortoise, and then select revision graph.
The revision graph appears as expected.

2) Request a diff between the two distinct versions of the graphed
component by clicking one, control-clicking the other, then right-click and
select the diff'ing option (I'm using WinMerge as my diff'ing tool).

3) Dismiss the differences, then dismiss the graph.

4) Make a change to the selected component (or any component in that WC
tree) and commit the change.

5) Using the same procedure as step 1 (but without rebooting), attempt
to display a revision graph of a component from that same WC folder tree
(same component as step 1, or different - it doesn't seem to matter).

This is where the failure appears to occur. The graph never displays.
Windows task manager indicates the Tortoise task for displaying the graph is
running.

If you do not get the failure the first time through the steps, simply run
through them again (without rebooting). I've never been through the cycle
more than 3 times (post upgrade from 1.6 to 1.7) before seeing the failure.

Recovery appears to require a system reboot.

For the record, I usually have an IDE (Visual Studio or a very old Borland
IDE) up and running, often displaying the same file I'm graphing when I
experience the failure. Perhaps this is an aggravating factor in reproducing
the problem.

I've searched your issues page on the word, "graph," and found that issue
111 (now closed) appears to be related.
