it is better to read the release note, to cek list what you should do
before upgrading you working copy. i read in other thread, that his repo
become locked, and some one say that it likely because of this upgrading
proses.

for what i remember:
1. make sure your wc doesn't has any flags except or modified. for example,
resolve any conflict, release any lock, etc.
2. backup your wc before upgrading, just in case...

well, i'm fortunate not to use all svn capabilities, so i'm not making any
difficulties while upgrading my wc.
