Access denied to windows user directory when updating WC

Beginning with V1.7.2 it seems to be impossible to update an existing working copy anymore with a Windows 7 system (tried 32 and 63 Bit editions). Instead of showing the update working copy dialog, an immediate error message "Access denied to C:\Users\<username>" occurs (German: Zugriff auf C:\Users\<username> wurde verweigert"). The problem seems not to occur on Windows XP.

Our machines are members of the company domain. However access to the users directory is granted to the SYSTEM users and to the logged in users, which seems to be used by the TortoiseSVN client.
