Sometimes Revision Graph Fails to Appear

From: Karl Hahn <khahn_at_medxchange.com>

I recently (less than two weeks ago) upgraded from version 1.6, which I had
been using for over 6 months to 1.7.3. Since the upgrade I have had some
trouble with the revision graph feature. I am not yet prepared to declare
this as a bug, since I haven't identified the exact steps to reproduce it.

I am running on Windows XP. I have WinMerge established as my diff tool. Our
Collabnet SVN server is still running on 1.6.

The revision graph feature works most of the time. But sometimes, after
using it to generate several version compares, the Tortoise gets into a
state where, if I select a file and ask for a revision graph, the task
appears on the Windows Task Manager list, but the graph never appears on my
screen.

It seems that once this happens once, to clear whatever the problem is, I
have to reboot and do a Tortoise clean-up on the target folder before I am
again able to view revision graphs.

I can't recall ever having this problem when I was running 1.6, but I've
experienced it at least 3 times since going to 1.7.

I am interested in any advice anybody can give me on:

a) Has anybody else seen this?

b) Has anybody identified a way to avoid it?

c) Does anybody know a method of recovery short of what I've described
above?

My thanks to anybody in the group who can illuminate this for me.

Karl Hahn
