Hello,
I just have upgraded from TortoiseSVN 1.6.16 (x64) to Tortoise 1.7.0
(x64). My OS ist Windows XP x64 (i.e. Windows NT 5.2).
What i experienced:
When I opened Windows Explorer and there went to context menu on a
SVN-controlled src-directory in order to svn-update the source folder, I
did get an option "SVN Update" in the context menu. Clicking it, I got
the following error message:
Update
Working copy 'F:\src\cad_SoSe2011' is too old (format 10, created by
Subversion 1.6)
Then I read your release notes on 1.7.0 on the website and there I saw a
Win7 screenshot, which showed me, that the authors intend there to be an
upgrade feature for source-folders, checked out with old versions of
TortoiseSVN.
However: this is completely different behaviour from what I get to see
on my computer, I'm afraid.
a) I don't get the option "SVN Upgrade Working Copy" in context menu.
b) I get the complete the svn context menu I am used to see from 1.6.16
on my working copy checked out using 1.6 when I run 1.7
I thought you might like to know.
Please note: I really like the "Schildkroete", as I call it dearily, it
is great work, it helps me every day doing my work at office and also my
private programming just-for-fun and I can't think of living without
TortoiseSVN in my professional life. And right now I'm just a little
disappointed to postpone the upgrade to the new cool features, I'm keen
to use at home and on my office computer, both running the same OS,
Windows XP x64 (SP2 or so). ;-)
Tanks a lot for TortoiseSVN (which I just call "The Schildkroete")!
I do appreciate it
Regards,
Manfred
