Slow browsing due to antivirus

I am encountering a bit of slow response in Repo-browser when browsing a Collab Subversion Edge repo on our LAN. For example, it takes average 2~3 second to expand a folder of 2 files.

It seems Avast Antivirus (or may any antivirus in general) is the cause. If antivirus is disabled, the response in repo-browser is immediately fast.

Has anyone encounter similar issue? And how do I configure my antivirus to exclude whatever files tortoisesvn browser reading/writing from? Thanks.
