I think you need to address this pdq

Tigris is a site where open-source projects can host their projects.

Each project is individually run and managed. Some of the projects, like
TortoiseSVN, choose to put ads on their site. Presumably this provides them
with some revenue to help support their efforts.

 

The best place to provide your feedback would be to the TortoiseSVN
community itself so that they are aware of the harm these ads can cause to
their users. Maybe they will stop the practice altogether, or at least tone
down their placement.
