SWITCH changes URL case, causing failure

G'Day Ulrich,

Thanks for the feedback.

The SVN repository resides on a Linux box in a different state, and yes
that URL to the repository is case sensitive.

I was originally instructed to use the SWITCH command by a colleague,
but when I hit this snag I considered RELOCATE, but I wasn't sure about
using it due to it presenting a big warning dialog that I was unable
completely understand the ramifications.

I only have tortoise installed, but I have noticed when using the same
method on another branch that had a similar name (ie. a Capital 1st
letter), the SWITCH worked perfectly as I'd entered the URL correctly.

I was also able to reproduce on a another branch, by explicitly
mistyping the URL (wrong case).

My local computer is a Windows PC, so case sensitivity does not exist
for the local paths.

Based on my observations above, I would postulate that the originally
entered URL (wrong case) is cached somewhere (I don't know where or I
could check). Then, when I enter the correct URL (correct case), this is
compared (case insensitive) with the cached value and it just reuses
that cached URL.

Your thoughts?

Regards,

Greg
