I think I got it (r21890).
The reason I couldn't reproduce it at first was because my test files
were all too large, so TMerge would always show a scrollbar.
But if the scrollbar wasn't there, the release build with optimizations
turned on (turned off wouldn't produce the issue!) scrolled the view to
a non-existing line.
