Deployment via SCCM?

I know there's documentation on deploying TSVN via GPO[1], but does
anyone have experience using SCCM[2] to deploy it instead? Does it
work pretty much the same? When 1.7 is released, I'm hoping to
standardize all of our installs to:

1) Get everyone on the same release
2) Push out a standard config
3) Disable the automatic version checks
4) Disable some of the menu entries that confuse people and they don't need.
