Get TortoiseSVN to Ignore Symlinks

I am running Windows 7 with the latest version of TortoiseSVN.

Several of the directories I want to check in to a local repository have
symbolic links (created with windows "MKLINK", which is like unix "LS"), not
*.lnk files. When I try, it works until it hits the first such file and
fails. I can't exclude by extension, since MKLINK symlinks don't have
special extensions. They do have a size of 0.

Another user asked this question some time back but got a response related
to *.lnk. Is there any way to fix this?
