Problem with overlay icons in Desktop

Hello all,

I face an issue where all folder icons on my desktop present the question
mark overlay icon after restoring a folder from a backup. Here is the
details:

I have a backup copy of the folder XXX that is included in a repository. I
tried to restore this folder from the backup into my desktop but due to a
mistake I made, I recovered the contents of the XXX folder onto the desktop
(I did not create a ../Desktop/XXX folder first) so I stopped the recovery
procedure. On my desktop there where the folder .svn so I manually deleted
these. After that I noticed that my desktop folders present the question
mark overlay icon. I tried to rebuild the icons using TweakUI but with no
success. Can anyone please help me how to get rid off these icons?
