You can install both clients. Just be careful that both have the same
major and minor versions e.g. 1.6.x, at least if you want to share the
working copies.

Sure, I meant it as client; you do not need to install a server. On
our Windows-Build machines we have both clients installed (as our
builds use the com,mand line client and do not use TortoiseSVN, but
the person (mostly me) using the machine from time to time would not
want to miss TortoiseSVN.)

svnversion also allows a path as parameter.
