TSVN 1.6.16 and SAMBA

Hello All,

It seems the long outstanding TSVN+SAMBA issues have been fixed in TSVN 1.6.16,
even w/o requiring the SAMBA config. file changed described in the below URL's:

However looking at the release notes etc I cannot find any formal reference
saying a change related to SAMBA has been done.

Can someone verify if this indeed is the case, i.e. a fix/workaround has been
integrated into 1.6.16 or before, but just omitted from the release notes?

My fear is that if a fix has not been done, then next time I upgrade, this issue
might re-appear. I am interested in knowing if or not a work-around to address
the SAMBA issue has indeed been done. We have many users using TSVN and I would
like to know if I am providing them with only a temporary solution, or something
more stable that will survive future upgrades.
