support. Uninstalling/reinstalling SVN every time we want to switch
between projects is not a possibility. Neither is the option of
disabling version control in the toolkit. Upgrading the 3.1 project is
on the cards but may not happen for a while so in the meantime we need a
solution. Can you help?
I don't know about the internas of "Ciboodle".
But SVN clients and servers are interoperable. That means you can use
TortoiseSVN 1.6 to access a SVN 1.5.4 server.
So if you don't have to access the same working copy with both kinds of
software, you don't have any problem at all - simply keep TortoiseSVN up
to date.
If you need shared access to the working copy with TortoiseSVN and both
Ciboodle versions, you may need to install two different versions of
your SVN client. I doubt that TortoiseSVN may be installed in two
versions in parallel, due to the explorer integration and TSvnCache. But
there are other SVN clients (command line and GUI). If nothing else
helps, you need a virtual machine.
