Hi Stefan,
what I mean is that today, the rev prop Editor is quite cumbersome to use.
Even loading props from file is not realy simple, since for each repository node there might be different values to set.
Try to add many different attributes... it is a tidous task. Personaly I use the cli for this, rather tsvn.
Now if tsvn would have a configurable layout of the main properties for a specific tree and/or repository, users would have to enter only the property values in the right fields, rather than specifying propname+value, one by one.
Having, simple configurable layouts and the ability to recurse to the generic editor would be a simple thing.
A more advanced prop editor could even check the syntax of the properties on property entry. Prop-X must comply to regexp "IR-NNN". I aknowledge that in order to be consistent, this must be checked server side. Still checking at user entry, this would limit commits of typos.
This is only intended as a starting point of a dicussion. I do not have a spec ready. I would rather ask what people need. I have my ideas though. Then I would try to build some sort of functional spec. Btw., where is a good place to submit such a spec? Issue tracker?
regards
