First of all, thanks a lot Stefan and David. You offered constructive critics concerning the modus operandi, but gave me the information I needed if I end up with no alternative.

The basis behind the whole toolbox thing was to be able to press "next" a couple of times, then you go take a break or something during the fully-automated installation, then you go back and your toolbox is fully operational after reboot.

But while it's easy enough to unpack a .zip installation, or add a couple of entries to the windows path, this is clearly out of my league, and as you confirmed, very dangerous.

I'll report to the higher-ups concerning the matter, and suggest we integrate the .msi (for both TCVS and TSVN, incidentally). I'm definitely willing to lose the "automated" feature if I can avoid shooting myself in the foot.

Philippe
