Annoying - Tortoise Menu disappering from Windows Explorer Context Menus

I have never seen this problem until now with Tortoise. I installed the
latest version 1.6. It worked fine but then all of a sudden poof, the
TortoiseSVN menu doesn't show up anymore in my context menu when working
with the file system in Win 7 Pro.

I've seen some comments on stackoverflow that people are uninstalling and
re-installing 1.6. That's not acceptable.

Is this a bug? Has anyone else seen this behavior lately? Because it's
getting super annoying.

Has this been addressed possibly in a new build?
