Bizarre (but very annoying) problem with TortoiseSVN

A week ago I downloaded TortoiseSVN which I've been using quite successfully with Windows 7 (though to be fair, I haven't had time to do much with it yet).

This morning, I wanted to sell something on Ebay. I filled in the Ebay web form and eventually got to the bit where it asks if you want to upload some pictures of the item you're selling. This brings up an Explorer browser window so I can search for the relevant image(s) on my hard drive.

Unfortunately, every time I did anything in the browser (clicking my mouse / dragging a scrollbar or whatever) I got dozens of warning messages from Windows Security saying that a program was trying to open web content via the open browser. The program was identified as TortoiseSVN.

Is this a known issue with TortoiseSVN and if so, is there any way to disable it? I'm using IE9 by the way, which I only installed yesterday so I can't say whether the issue was already present with IE8. Any help would be very welcome as I've already recommended Tortoise to some friends and don't want to end up with egg on my face!! Thanks.

John
