That's not the problem. The problem is that mkv is mkv and not txt.
How hard is it to say:

No, it's not. Videos could have been taken on different hardware, with
different network loading, with different versions of TortoiseSVN,
while background processes were doing different things, or several
dozen other things. Or they could have been blatantly faked. We have
to trust you somewhere, so why not go with the three hundred byte
report instead of the three million byte report?
