Yes, that would provide a quick way to look at the unified diffs so I would
happily work with that. However, what if I only want to look at the patch,
not copy it to the clipboard? If I'm looking for a way to just look at it, I
would not think of copying it to the clipboard.

Also, unless you changed that too, the behaviour still differs when you have a
single selection instead of multiple selections.
