Authentication Data button is disabled

After installing TortoiseSVN 1.6.12, I try to access my repository using svn://server/project and it simply says "no access allowed". The project is hosted on a Linux box and my credentials are different from those I use to log into Windows. TSVN doesn't ask for credentials so I opened the settings to check the Authentication Data and the "Clear" button is disabled and there doesn't seem to be any way to set the credentials.
