Copying SVN directory into another SVN directory structure

I have a directory/sub-directories under SVN control. In another place I
also have a directory/subdirectories under SVN conntrol. I want to copy
the first directory/subdirectories under the second but at the same time
remove SVN control of the copied directory/subdirectories. Is there any
easy way to do this ?

Right now I manually do the copy and then manually remove all svn
directories in the copied structure, but this seems a PITA way do doing it.
