Bytes Transferred Vs Actual File Size

Hi,

I recently did an SVN add of a folder and then committed it to my
repository. My commit was reported to be successful and in the commit
window, it reported that 386.11 MBytes was transferred. However, when I
checked the folder size using right-click->properties, the file size was 663
MBytes and size on disk was 668 MBytes. May I know why there is this
discrepancy between bytes transferred and the actual file/folder sizes?
Thanks.

Regards,
John
