checking out a repository with two identically named files with different case characters

I'm trying to check out a repository that has two files named
identically to one another save for the case. Let's say Index.php and
index.php.

I realize that the repository ought not be doing that but, the fact
remains that it is and it's preventing me from checking out the
repository completely. Any ideas as to what my options are?
