Actually, I'm not sure. I believe that locally adding a file works even if it
has inconsistent line endings and eol-style via auto-props, while committing
that file gives you an error.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't care where a Magic Button(tm) is added, I
guess that it would be okay when setting the eol-style to alert the user if
necessary. Note however that when using auto-props, adding a file might set
that style, too, so it should be repeated there.
