Tortoiseproc and parentheses in path

I am passing a group of files into tortoiseproc to get a lock. One of
the files in the group had parentheses in it and that file came back
in the error as not under version control. If I pass that single file
into tortoiseproc it locks fine?

Example filename "Parse Calculation Equation(s).vi" This happens with
other files with parentheses as well.

Has anyone run into this?
