The item's revision log does include its parent's rename commit and
shows that as its latest revision. Doesn't this mean that the core svn
library is already reporting parent renames for children?

The reason why I thought this was a client tier decision was that one
place of the UI displays the latest revision as one number, but the
other place shows that there is another revision after that.
