TSVN install error, 0x800736FD

All,

A coworker is having problems installing TSVN 1.6.7.18415
(32 bit) on a 32 bit Win 7 system.

A similar problem was reported on this list last November.
The problem occurred with the same assembly but different
HRESULT was reported.

Similar issues seem to have occurred with iTunes and Office
installations that hint at a corrupt Sxs environment (different
assembly, but same HRESULT), but no solutions other than
reinstalling the OS, which my coworker is hoping to avoid.

The install appears to hang mid-way through and then the
following is displayed:

> An error occured during the installation of assembly
> component
> {9DA4DC8A-9731-3F0E- 8BD5-FC17CA6848AD}
> HRESULT: 0x800736FD

The rollback never completes and appears to hang.

Rebooting does not resolve the issue.

Norton AntiVirus is installed on the system. Attempted the
install with it Norton claiming it is disabled, but the
failure still occurs.
