Hi Stephan,

Thank you. I guess the best approach for me with a ton of existing .sql files will be to manually change the svn:mime-type when I need to edit conflicts (which so far is the only place the application/octetstream setting interferes with my work).

Going forward for new .sql files, thanks to your help I think I understand that I now have changed my configuration settings for svn to be able to classify .sql files as text files.
