Print version to file

Hey all,
i've been looking for the best way to print the current svn version
number to a file. The solution in the tortoise FAQ is to use the
SubWCRev program, but is really hard to use it, and i didnt even know
where and when to call this.

Anyone knows a better solution ? i just want to print the version to a
file, nothing more.
