Suggestion: remember list of files on failed commit

Very frequently I go through many changed files in the commit dialog box to select just the ones I want to include in one commit, only to find out that someone has checked something in that prevented me from committing.

As a result, I get an error, and I have to redo file selection after I fix it.

Suggestion: on error (or maybe always?) add a list of committed files to a list that can be easily re-used to commit files.
