So the message is correct. Have you been able to do this before. I assume you can Right click on each folderX individually to commit. I assume you have mods more than one of the folder?. You could check out a level above your folderX's in order to commit them in all together.
My assumption is that you can can't check in from multiple WC's at the same time.
