A little extreme... the fundamental issues were addressed over 3 months
ago in build 17710 (around November 15-16, 2009). I have been a happy
camper since then, and have relayed this to the occasional user who
hadn't seen this in the list history.

I see in a later post you found which app was sucking up the icon slots
- good!
