Thank you for the link - I already wrote a small program with C# that
does exactly the same. It will help to workaround the problem by first
removing the BOM, then applying the patch, and then adding the BOM
again - to make sure that only changes from the patch are committed in
this revision, and no "BOM-removals".

It would be mich better if TortoiseSVN (and maybe Subversion) could
handle the BOMs correctly.
