It seems like a prime culprit is the Diff script `diff-docx`. I'll spend
some time tomorrow seeing if the behavior also occurs with DOC, XLS, XLSX,
and PPT files (ignoring PPTX files since powerpoint file diffs aren't
supported by Office 2007).
