You could do that too. But, I mean exactly what I said. I prefer to tell people what the "good" version is than the bad versions. I'm not really sure what your audience is so that may be better for you.

The approach we take is that our "trunk" is a work in progress. Yes, there are going to be revs in there that fail to build... or have bugs. But, when we have a revision that is to be used as a test or release version we tag it. This indicates to everyone which version is the good one. Also, since you can export/check out from the tag it makes it easy for QA to get a certain tag for example.
