Explorer slow/dead when repository not there

Hello,

Here is my problem : Iam using Tortoise SVN 1.6.3 on windows XP SP3.
-> When I am on the company network it works.
-> When I am not connected it works
-> When I am connected by VPN (means I am on the network but the SVN repository is NOT reachable I got problems with the windows explorer : It takes about 15 minuts to run !

As soon as I kill the process SVNCache it works again (I am not sure of these 100%). If I uninstall SVN, problem is 100 % gone.
I have tried to set Icon Overlays to None but I still have the problem.
Anybody can help me ?
