I know this and i am using it, but the point I wanted to raise is that
the _default_ is
"scan recursively all fixed drives" which results in a performance
downgrade of windows because there is lots of I/O happening. (at least
in 1.6.3, will update an see if it is better in 1.6.6)
I understand that there is no easy definition of a "usefull" default
value and it "may depend"

A real problem with that dialog is, that the boxes for include/exclude
list are VERY small.
A typical user has multiple entries in include/exclude and the current
sizes of the controls are way too small. Stefan, can you enlarge them
a bit, please ?

there is also no horizontal scrolling, so if the path gets longer, you
will not see the entries.

Between the text and the tables is still (wasted) space, we could use
that.

Also, maybe the toplevel Settings Window (Settings - TortoiseSVN)
should be resizable ?

thanks,
Berni.
