Not checking out in Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

I have installed a new copy of Windows 7. I have downloaded and installed the latest 64-bit version of TortoiseSVN (188.8.131.5293) and seem to be having problems.
When I try to checkout for the first time due to the new installation TortoiseSVN does nothing.
The window pops up as you can see in the attached file but then it just sits there with 0 bytes/s for as long as I leave it on.
I don't get any errors, I don't seen any activity. My firewall settings have automatically allowed TortoiseSVN to run, there aren't any problems there that I know of.
I can't see the reason for this. Does anyone have any ideas?
