Strange race condition in repo-browser during rename

In the Repository Browser, select a file, wait 1 second and select
again. The file goes into rename in place mode. Change the name. Pick in
white space anywhere below file list. The "Enter Log Message" dialog
appears, but appears to be hung because you get an hour-glass when
hovering over dialog.

To recover, select "Repository Browser" on your task bar. You can then
complete the log message. Notice that when the log message dialog goes
away, the mouse pointer is in rubber-band-select mode. Click anywhere to
complete select. Everything normal again.

This can be reproduced at will. This is just an annoyance. ;-)

I have the following set, if it would make any difference:
Control Panel -> Folder options -> General Tab -> section "Click items
as follows" Single-click to open item (point to select) + Underline icon
titles consistent with my browser.
