.svnfolders not created on Export

Hi

I have downloaded Tortoisesvn 1.6.5 for 32 bit Windows machine. I installed
it and rebooted my machine. I then tried to export. I am able to export the
directories but the .svn folders are not created and the icon overlays are
also not displayed.
Can you please help me set this right.
